Sunshine Coast - Sargeant Bay Provincial Park

September 24th Jake (a poodle) and I took a walk along the the old rainforest ravine trail. In this photo the bear is in motion. I had my camera aiming that direction when he walked from around the old stump on the right. The bear is just rising to his hind feet to get a better look,
 just before he charged!

He got to within 6 feet of me, when I charged back.
 What else was I to do? It worked. The bear did a 180 turn and the last we saw of him he was high on the ridge about 300 feet away.
